Satin+ is the most advanced lens coating available, made in Australia and developed by Australians. It is highly hydrophobic, resistant to abrasions, offers 100% UV protection, and withstands one of the harshest and most hostile environments in the world.
  • Satin+ AR, Satin+ Night, Satin+ Flash, Satin+ Vogue, Satin+ Mirror
  • All products in the Satin+ Range are regularly tested in CR's full scope anti-reflective quality testing facility to ensure we are consistently producing a premium product that meets the highest standards of durability, clarity, and performance.
  • The tests performed examine the durability, scratch resistance, and water resistance properties of the coatings.
At CR Labs, we pride ourselves on the quality of our anti-reflective coatings. CR Labs is the only manufacturer to have a full-scope anti-reflective quality testing facility based in Australia. We frequently examine our Satin+ coating by performing tests like the extreme weathering test, boil test, steel wool test, and droplet test.

Our state-of-the-art testing facility plays a crucial role in the lab process for coating. It ensures that all our coatings are carefully crafted and meet the highest standards for durability and performance. This facility allows us to maintain strict quality control, ensuring each lens is thoroughly tested for consistency and reliability before it reaches our customers.

Satin+ Blue is suggested to be worn anytime you're exposed to screens or artificial light–such as using a computer, watching TV, or scrolling on your phone. They're especially helpful in the evening to reduce eye strain and support better sleep, by limiting exposure to blue light that disrupts your natural sleep cycle.

Anti-reflective coatings reduce reflections on the lens surface for enhanced clarity, whereas Satin+ Night specifically filters out high-energy blue light associated with distracting visual effects from headlights and traffic lights to improve clarity and comfort with night-time driving.

Satin+ Flash and Satin+ Mirror coatings can be made with fashion tints, polarised lenses, photochromatic lenses (Silque and Transitions) and even clear lenses. They can be made with a wide range of lens materials as well.

  • Both coatings are designed to reduce glare and improve visual comfort by reflecting light away from the lens surface.
  • Satin+ Mirror offers a high level of reflection, blocking more light and hiding the eyes - ideal for very bright environments like snowy landscapes or on the water.
  • Satin+ Flash, on the other hand, has a softer, more subtle reflective finish. It reflects less light, allowing more to pass through the lens, which makes it versatile for use in a wider range of lighting conditions - even suitable for indoor use.

Both coatings reflect blue light wavelengths, but Satin+ Night specifically targets a higher-energy range of wavelengths associated with distracting visual effects during night driving. Satin+ Night also allows more light to enter the eye at levels we are most sensitive to night, increasing visual clarity.

Satin+ Vogue offers all the performance benefits of Satin+ AR, providing optimal clarity, durability, cleanability and UV protection, with an added stylish pink hue.

Modern halogen and LED headlights have been designed to improve nighttime visibility for drivers, but they can also create adverse visual effects–such as glare, halos, and starburstsfor others on the road. These effects often lead to eye strain and fatigue, making night driving more difficult and uncomfortable.

Satin+ Night coated lenses can be used across all lighting levels. Although it has been designed to increase clarity and comfort of vision with night-time driving, it provides a clear and consistent visual experience from day to night.
