How to apply for a fuss free warranty

• Remakes will be processed free of charge. CR Labs may request an original invoice number, date, patient reference, remake order details, reason for return and original lenses.

Coating warranty

• Covers manufacturing faults including crazing, peeling, and cracking from date of purchase.
• The replacement lenses will have no changes in the design, RX, PDs, height, and corridor.
• No credit or refund will be issued.

Satin+ AR, Satin+ Blue, Satin+ Night, Satin+ Vogue, Satin+ Flash, Satin+ Mirror Coating

• The Satin+ coatings are covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
• Hard coat is covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty.

Satin+ AR, Satin+ Blue, Satin+ Night, Satin+ Vogue, Satin+ Flash, Satin+ Mirror Coating

• 1-month patient satisfaction warranty
  • If,  within the first month from purchase, your customer is not satisfied with the Satin+ coating, lenses can be replaced with hard coat lenses only, free of charge.
•  1-year scratch warranty – (1 time only)
  • If, in the first year from purchase, your customer accidentally scratches their Satin+ coated lenses, these can be replaced,
    free of charge.
•  3-year manufacturer coating warranty.

Tints

At CR Labs, we take great care to ensure the highest standards in lens tinting. All tints are applied using precise processes to achieve consistent quality.

• Manufacturing Warranty: Tints are covered under warranty only if there is a confirmed manufacturing fault (e.g., incorrect colour applied, uneven tinting, or faulty application).
• Colour Preferences: Tints requested to match a specific shade are considered custom. Variations may occur due to lens material, index, thickness, or lighting conditions. For this reason, warranties do not cover dissatisfaction with colour preference, personal perception of shade, or change of mind.
• Remakes: Requests for remakes due to dissatisfaction with tint colour, depth, or tone will be treated as new orders and charged accordingly.
• Samples & Guidance: Where possible, please provide a physical tint sample for our tint department to replicate as closely as possible. If no physical sample is provided, our tint department will apply their professional discretion when matching colour tones and densities (if not otherwise specified). While every effort is made to achieve the closest possible match, final results may vary slightly from samples due to lens material, thickness, and other factors.
• Match Tint: While every effort is made to achieve a consistent match between lenses, please note that an exact match cannot be guaranteed. This is especially the case with lenses that have an anti-reflective (AR) coating which can influence the final appearance of the tint.

By proceeding with a tint order, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.

Progressive and near-progressive lens warranty

• 3-Month design warranty that covers 1 remake for any design, RX, PD, height and corridor alterations.
• Non-adaptation: If, in the first 3 months, your patient can not adapt to their freeform lens, CR Labs offers a remake of either one of the following: 1 pair of bifocals or 2 pairs of single vision lenses. No credit or refund will be issued.  
• Remakes must retain the original lens shape – Any remake carried out under this warranty must use the same frame and lens shape as the original job. Changes to frame size, style, or shape are not included under this warranty.
• Avulux is not covered.

Single vision warranty

• 3 – month design warranty  that covers 1 remake for any design, RX, PD and height alterations.
• Non- adaptation: If, in the first 3 – months, your patient can not adapt to their single vision stock or grind lenses, CR Labs offers a remake of 1 pair of single vision lenses. No credit or refund will be issued.
• Manufacturer’s warranty: Single vision stock lenses are covered by a 1-month manufacturer’s warranty. Single vision distance lenses are covered by a 3-month manufacturer’s warranty.
• Remakes must retain the original lens shape – Any remake carried out under this warranty must use the same frame and lens shape as the original job. Changes to frame size, style, or shape are not included under this warranty.
• Uncut stock and grind lens returns must be within 3-months of original purchase date and in a sellable condition in original packaging.
• Avulux is not covered.  

MyoME and MyoStock Lens warranty

• 3-month warranty:
  
  • Valid for three (3) months from the date of the original purchase.
  • Covers a single remake where changes to PD’s or fitting heights are required.
  • Applies only to the originally supplied lenses.
• 6-month warranty:
  • Valid for six (6) months from the date of the original purchase.
  • Entitles the patient to one (1) complimentary replacement set of lenses in the event of a prescription increase of -0.50DS or greater.
  • Applies only where the replacement prescription is verified by a registered optometrist.
• General Conditions:
  • Warranties apply exclusively to MyoME and MyoStock lenses.
  • Warranties are non-transferable and limited to one claim per warranty period.
  • Claims must be submitted through the original prescribing practice.
  • CR Labs reserves the right to verify all claims prior to processing.

Staff discounts

• Practice owners and optometrists are eligible for only 1 complimentary pair of lenses per year.
• Practice staff members are eligible for a 40% discount on lenses.
• Staff discounts exclude Avulux products.

• Avulux loan kit CR Labs highly recommends the purchase of a loan kit ​(fitover or trial kit) for patients to experience Avulux prior to ​purchasing as no refund or credit will be issued based on ​consumer satisfaction.
• Avulux multifocal warrantyCovers only 1 remake at 50% of the remake cost to the ​practice for either design, rx, PD, height alterations or non-​adaptation.
• Applies to progressive and occupational lens designs ​ONLY that were purchased within 3 months from date of ​original purchase.
• Avulux single vision remakeAll Rx grind single vision and plano stock single vision are ​not covered for any design, Rx, PD or height alterations ​remake.
• Manufacture fault Avulux lenses are covered by a 6 month remake warranty ​only for manufacturing faults of crazing, peeling and ​cracking from date of original purchase.
• CR Labs highly recommends all Avulux lenses are edged ​and fitted in our lab. All lenses that are not edged and fitted ​in our lab are done at the practice’s own risk and any ​resulting damages will not be covered under warranty.
• No refund, credit and discounts apply to the Avulux product.
